Buying aseptic carton material: quotation, samples and line trials
Prepare a comparable quotation and a documented line trial, with confirmed MOQ, sample and dispatch terms.
What information belongs in the first enquiry?
Send one specification brief to each supplier so quotations describe the same requirement. A request for “milk cartons” alone leaves important differences unresolved.
| Information | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Product | Beverage type and intended storage conditions |
| Filling line | Manufacturer, machine model and current configuration |
| Package | Exact carton format, capacity and opening system |
| Material | Current specification or reference, where available |
| Quantity | Packs required for each SKU and printed design |
| Artwork | Number of designs and whether print files are ready |
| Destination | Delivery country, location and required arrival date |
A quotation should identify the proposed specification, quantity basis, price basis, sample arrangement and dispatch conditions. Compare transport and other quoted charges separately; a low material price is not necessarily a low delivered cost.
How do MOQ and delivery work at Shengli Pak?
MOQ applies to each SKU/design, not to the number of packs that fit in a container. For example, the confirmed MOQ is 108,000 packs for Brik Base 1000 ml and 112,000 packs for Brik Slim 1000 ml. Other formats have different quantities; use the current product cards for the confirmed list.
Samples are free, including door-to-door shipping paid by Shengli Pak. Confirm whether the sample is for visual review, material evaluation or a line trial, and agree the quantity and specification for that purpose.
Dispatch is in 15–20 days after the order is placed and the artwork is ready. Shipping transit time is additional. If the design or specification changes, ask the team to reconfirm the schedule before planning receipt at the factory.
How should a buyer prepare a material trial?
- Record the existing line, material, package and opening references. Identify the proposed change precisely.
- Ask the supplier and factory technical team to review the combination and agree the sample requirements.
- Agree responsibilities, trial conditions, required inspections and acceptance criteria before the trial starts. Use the applicable equipment documentation and the factory’s approved quality procedures.
- Keep material batch identification, observations, inspection results and any agreed follow-up actions together.
- Decide whether to approve, investigate or repeat the trial using the recorded results. Agree the conditions for subsequent supply.
This is a purchasing workflow, not a machine-setting or food-safety release procedure. A visually acceptable pack, supplier certificate or successful short run alone does not establish every requirement for commercial production.
What helps when comparing alternative suppliers?
Compare specification clarity, traceability, trial support, documentation, commercial terms and the people responsible for resolving issues. Ask what evidence supports suitability for your exact line instead of relying on a broad compatibility claim.
Review machine and format references, check supplier documentation or send your enquiry.
Company ordering terms: confirmed by Shengli Pak on 14 September 2026. Product-specific suitability and trial acceptance remain subject to technical review.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should a carton material quotation include?
Include beverage, machine model, carton format and volume, material reference, opening system, quantity per design, artwork status and delivery destination.
Does a sample prove production compatibility?
No. A sample supports review; the proposed material still needs evaluation on the specified line under an agreed trial plan.
